The NRM Network Mission & Vision
The NRM Network's mission is to support the education and advancement of mediation as the no. 1 form of alternative dispute resolution in the Republic of Ireland. We aim to provide information and resources inclusively within society. We will develop educational supports highlighting the many ways that mediation can benefit community and the public good. We aim to partner with like minded organisations to deliver the NRM mission and vision for of the advancement of mediation education in communities.
NRM Network Aims & Objectives
• The NRM Network aims to promote and achieve best mediation practice standards and adherence to the NRM Network professional code of conduct and ethics in the provision of accredited mediation services in Ireland.
• The NRM Network aims to encourage the use of mediation as an efficient alternative to litigation for resolving disputes in accordance with the Irish Mediation Act 2017.
• The NRM Network aims to promote mediation as a confidential, voluntary, safe and neutral forum for parties in dispute to have a mutually respectful dialogue to address their concerns.
• The NRM Network aims to promote mediation as a positive and informal process that empowers parties in dispute to self-determination of mutually agreed outcomes to their concerns. Parties in dispute have an opportunity through the mediation process to better understand their concerns and options.
• The NRM Network aims to energise local communities to engage in conversation about mediation to raise public awareness of the application of mediation for all types of disputes e.g. Community, family, separating couples, eldercare, workplace, employment, consumer disputes, property disputes, landlord & tenant disputes, industrial and commercial disputes.
• The NRM Network aims seeks to promote the benefits of mediation to the greater general public. Mediation offers important benefits to all parties in dispute. It provides fast and creative mutually agreed outcomes in a cost efficient manner. Mediation fosters values of mutual empathy and respect through improved communication that can preserve important relations even when parties appear to be at an impasse.
