What is CPD?
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. It refers to the process of tracking and documenting the skills, knowledge and experience that you gain formally and informally as you work, beyond any initial training. This process helps certified professionals maintain high standards and keep up to date with current industry thinking. The requirement for certified members of the NRM to complete CPD each calendar year, helps build and maintain client confidence.
Who must log CPD?All certified mediators with the NRM must complete the minimum CPD requirements in a 12 month cycle, in order to keep their certification and membership active. Annual Practicing Licences are only issued to members once they have submitted a completed CPD log for the preceding 12 month CPD cycle.
What are CPD Points?Points are used to build and track CPD. Each time a certified member attends approved training, an NRM Workshop, Role Play Session, or does any other activity that has points associated with it, the member can claim a predefined number of points. Certification requires that each member earns a minimum number of points as outlined for their certification type in a given 12 month cycle.
Who provides CDP approved programmes?Subject matter relevant training programmes offered by Approved Education & Assessment Providers (A.E.A.P.) all carry CPD points. For a list of A.E.A.P.'s [CLICK HERE]
